Join Rev. Sarah Stewart for a church book group for books about the ups and downs of congregational life!
Novelists from all religious backgrounds have captured the joys and sorrows of life together in a religious community. From a book about a UU church's search for a minister, to a tragi-comedy about the role a Black church plays in a changing Bronx neighborhood, to a field trip to the Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton, we'll explore how novelists convey the truth about congregational life in their writings.
The first meeting will be Wed. Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. in the Bancroft Room. We'll continue to meet on third Wednesdays. October's book is Search by Michelle Huneven;
Refreshments will be served.
