The heart of joining a church is joining a group. In small groups people build friendship and community. We have groups that focus on spiritual growth, socializing, learning, and service. However you like to connect with people, there is a group here for you.

Soul Groups are the small group ministry program of First Unitarian Church. 6 to 8 people gather once a month, either in person or online, to share their wisdom and spiritual experiences around the monthly theme. Led by trained lay facilitators, Soul Groups open for new participants each fall, and as needed throughout the year. Look in the newsletter for announcements of how you can deepen your spiritual practice through Soul Groups.

Several groups meet monthly and are open to drop-ins and ongoing members. The book club, cooking club, handwork group in the Chapel, and Sunday Ponderings are open to all members and friends of the church. Join your friends and neighbors to learn together, get to know each other, build community, and have fun!

Our thirty-voice choir is open to any interested singer. The choir usually sings during Sunday services three times per month from September through June. Learn more about the choir here.

The UU Sisterhood is a women's group sharing food, stories, and fun. Meetings are currently taking place in-person and/or via video conference call. Please contact for more information.

UUGuys (pronounced youz-guys) is the moniker for the church men's group. The group meets monthly for dinner, and also schedules a range of other events throughout the year. For example, they have had hikes, game nights, and watched and discussed TED talks. They also sponsor the New Year's Eve party at the church.
